Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace, ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill, lies just north of Oxford in the town of Woodstock.  The palace was built for John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough, in recognition of his great victory over the French at the battle of Blenheim, 1704.

Designed by Sir John Vanburgh, Blenheim Palace is one of the finest examples of the English Baroque style, and is set in 2100 acres of parkland landscaped by Capability Brown.

Blenheim Palace is about 35 minutes from Stow.
